T Mobile Asus Rog Phone 2
Also curious nearly this. With the declaration of LG leaving the smartphone industry I figured it was time to upgrade. I personally use headphone jacks on my phone as well as other video editing things for either unique features or quick edits on the fly. The Asus ROG Phone 5 seems to be my best bet every bit with its specs it should last for a while.
I also demand to know if the Rog 5 is compatible with Tmobile's 4g and 5g network. I'm looking to purchase either this phone or Nubia's Red Magic 6 in the next few days.

The ZTE Nubia Cherry Magic 6 supports pretty much all of the 4G bands with the exception of ring 71. Whether or not it supports T-Mobile'south implementation of VoLTE is another question. If it doesn't, then it won't work on T-Mobile because devices now require VoLTE to work on 4G LTE. For 5G bands, information technology is missing way besides many to exist useful. No N2. No N4. No N66. No N71. N41 is not deployed in very many places. N2, N4, and N66 are the more mutual 5G deployments for T-Mobile. Because this device is not meant for the North American market, I highly incertitude information technology supports T-Mobile's VoLTE or WiFi Calling implementation.
The Asus ROG Telephone v (Version A) looks good, but once more you have the same trouble with the ZTE. No guaranteed support for VoLTE. Without VoLTE, you will not be able to brand or receive vocalism calls over 4G LTE. 5G looks good only there is no guarantee that 5G is bachelor where you plan on using the device. Asus ROG phones in the past have not supported T-Mobile'south VoLTE or WiFi Calling implementations.

Interesting. I read on other threads that people have gone to the stores and the salesman said they couldn't order them but that they did support them, still I have too seen a ton of people saying that they weren't sure if Tmobile had the actual capability.
That existence said, does anyone know which carriers Practise support the product? I oasis't seen a Tmobile admin comment on this issue nevertheless and so guess they don't care if we talk about other carriers on this thread.
I have the 16gb 256gb ROG Telephone five (global ROM), it works fine on TMobile. I do get VoLTE and no connection bug, wi-fi calling has worked then far besides. However, where I currently am I have non picked up a 5g band yet (though I am not certain what frequencies are near me).
Overall phone works fine!
Thanks magenta that's exactly what I was looking for. Exercise you know if your phone is version A?
Would be dainty to hear from other tmobile users who are using the cherry-red magic 6.
1005DA is the model number
Hello Everyone,
I got the global version 16gb with 256gb space. Only 4g is working with volte but no 4g lte or 5g. I spent hour with tmobile support but no aid. Hopefully some software update tin can fix this effect and nosotros can get 5g on this wonderful fast fun to utilise phone.

Hullo,
Yes checked apn settings everything is expert. Also onetime sim card. BTW had an asus rog three before global edition and was getting 5g on that with t mobile and same sim menu very strange.

i know the newer SIM card they are pushing is the R15 i believe. to early on in the morning for me to pull mine out and double check lol.
I bought my ROG telephone 5 about a month ago... I'm in the Philly expanse on T-Mobile. I am actually running 2 sim cards. I have yet to connect to a 5g network in my area, even though I am sure they are available because my Galaxy note 20 5g connects to 5g on T-Mobile. VoLTE works but fifty-fifty on ii sims speeds on the internet are nowhere near 5g. I use X way on wifi for gaming. Delight fix this consequence T-Mobile. Is it because it is an unlocked Chinese phone?

I don't empathize how you expect T-Mobile to set up something that is more than probable a telephone outcome? T-Mobile doesn't limit or restrict non-T-Mobile devices abilities to connect to their network. If your device supports the necessary bands to connect to T-Mobile's 5G and if your APN settings are correct. So it should connect. Philly has been blanketed in 5G for quite some time now. I regularly travel through Philly and haven't had any issues connecting to 5G there.
I merely received the Rog v global edition today, had everything setup and transferred over from previous LG V60 5G, unfortunately I am not getting 5G network on this phone but voLTE 4G works
Originally I was but getting GSM 3G speed which depressed me so I realized I didn't enable the voLTE icon in the sim card network options.
So at the end sadly not getting full 5G benefits simply at to the lowest degree I tin get past with 4G network when I am out and about not on wifi.
Since the phone wasn't built for 5G network bands in the United states of america unless Tmobile increase the bands (probably non) looks like I volition exist stuck with the 4G speed.
I was planning to get a Rog 5 too, but decided to research it first and found out that the Tencent/International versions don't support the 5g bands. Here is the link of the forum I found. TL;DR Get the the The states version or from the official ASUS U.s. store.
Right so if 5G is a must then definitely go with the USA version but looks similar they're oftenly sold out.
I have no issues with using 4G speed since I use WiFi for heavy duty downloads or gaming anyways, but mainly I need this phone for heavy duty multi tasking use and 4G speed is ok for my daily utilize. Where I alive the 5G is and then crippled it'southward barely any improve than 4G (tested with my old LG V60 5G).
And so it's a give and accept since buying this global version save up to $250 with the libation compared to buy from Asus United states of america.
Glad to encounter this thread a bit more fleshed out. Cheers for all of the input everyone. Like I previously stated I hold my phones for a while and I am currently rocking an LG V30.
I just wanted to add that i think people are maybe stressing a bit too difficult near 5G. I was at a convention the other day and using my V30 was able to tether my information to my laptop and stream on twitch and at the same time sentinel videos on YouTube. I was even so getting letters on fb too.
With the upgraded hardware of the ROG phone information technology should help things run much smoother.

Correct, with the Rog5 hardware upgrade it'due south much smoother compared to my old LV60 ThinkQ, although I don't have 5G speed I am okay with it, I don't miss the 5G much since I am working in WiFi environment most of the time, and when i don't the 4G speed is plenty for my daily use.
I still utilize my LG V60 5G phone on the side for multi tasking and I can dramatically tell the difference compared with Rog5. The screen load upwardly is much faster and app loading is faster and smoother than the LGV60.
This is easier to determine than it seems. Y'all have to check the bands supported…
Currently looking at grabbing a 5S, and cannot notice a seller with the US model that has N41 for 5G, and 12 for 4G.
Tmo page to show bands to intendance almost: https://world wide web.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/t-mobile-network
5G: basic 5G aka Extended Range, not much more special than 4G = n71
More important conspicuously improve than 4G band = n41
also n258, n260, n261
4G: 12, 71 mainly
2, 5, iv, 66 more significant 4G high speeds, and the bands that are basically the Extended Range 5G band.
Cannot find the unit with the United states of america tmo bands anywhere other the Asus website currently…
But looking at the site it is clear it does exits:
And then currently looking to find a unit that lists the US bands hoping for a bargain, simply if not, I'll buy direct from Asus and endeavour to update hither with any useful insights.
For example, looking at ebay or amazon all I run into are international even though championship may say unlocked, or U.s. stock, and the ring list is either not there at all or looks similar this:
The search continues! Or I'll give up and pay total price direct from Asus…. haha.

Ring 5 for T-Mobile is only used in ane very pocket-size identify, which is a small-scale island. For 99% of T-Mobile customers, they volition probably never use band five on their device.
I have the 16gb 256gb ROG Phone 5 (global ROM), it works fine on TMobile. I do go VoLTE and no connexion issues, wi-fi calling has worked so far as well. However, where I currently am I have not picked upward a 5g band withal (though I am non sure what frequencies are near me).
Overall telephone works fine!
How did y'all enable Wi-Fi calling? I take the 16gb 256gb ROG Phone 5 (Tencent games version) with T-Mobile and I tin can't find a wi-fi calling setting. After seeing this thread on the Zen talk form I am even more confused:
